During the awake the state protests in Fl. last week a homeless man
was taken back that his homeless home was taken over by so many people, "Gaslight Park Tampa" that he joined in with the protesters and hoped to shed some light on how the economy is effecting him.

2. So sad. He valiantly poses for you, too.
What a deplorable state we are in, nationwide. When a grown man has to underbid what we might pay a teenager just to get enough to eat.

Is this taken with a fish eye lens?
I like the way your photos of demonstrators look, you place things in a way I really like. And then, I think, there is that fish eye.
I think I would like one of those.

6. It is the way that this place has become, screw everyone but me.
The lens is a canon 16-35mm 2.8, I always bring the wide angle and mount it on the 5D the 1D I'll use a 300mm or 70-200mm but most time a 24-105mm b/c of the closeness. I would not buy or use a fish eye for anything more that just the novelty. One of the best if not the best lenses around is the canon 14mm. Rent one and be blown away with what you can achieve with it, stunning!

A fish eye I wish I had one, just to play wit idea's. I've seen great things from high end fish eyes

9. Thank you very much for answering my question. Now I will work hard on understanding
this, and making a similar thing for my Sony Alpha 500 if possible.

3. Powerful!
Everything about this photo is wrenching -- the eyes of the homeless man coupled with the look on the protester to the left adds much to the power of this evocative image. And of course, Uncle Sam is looking the other way.

Nice!

4. Sad, but are you sure he is homeless? He looks in pretty good
condition in comparison to some of the homeless I've seen in NYC or around here (San Francisco/Oakland area).

5. Lots of mystery behind this photo
He has glasses on, and a neat beard...........maybe on the verge of being homeless?

In any case it's interesting, and I am rooting for him. Certainly sad.

Not sure where juxtaposed is.........definitely we waited longer than fifteen minutes to answer him, and it wasn't a Superbowl. No matter........ I was ignored here for quite some time and I just ignored being ignored. It is all about having no expectations........

8. I spent a little time talking to him, and yes he is homeless.
He lives in the park and panhandles for money as the sign shows. A carpenter on hard times. 350,000 construction jobs lost in Florida since 2008! 350,000!! jobs lost in one field, one group of workers. That's twice as manny teachers the state has!
