Unawares and a double take - I looked out the window and saw a wonderland unfolding
Amazed I stepped on the porch, not to believe my eyes. We may get one or two snows a year, and that would be in Jan. or Feb.

Then a quick look to my left

I stopped in to visit with the suffering and surprised Geraniums and pansies

Now that it looks as if "White" will be the theme (did you vote yet WJMS?)
we won't have much trouble with it, even here in the South.

1. Lucky you!
I absolutely love the first one. The still green ground under the white snow, the chain link fence on the retaining wall, wrapping around the corner of the block. Though the colors are very subtle, they all seem to pop out against that all the white snow. I love the others too, but the subtle coloring and composition of the first pretty much won me over.

5. That pansy
really does look a bit annoyed. LOL.

Ther geranium shot is wonderful. Kind of like a little red flag waving for some attention.

We don't get snow here. We have to drive to the mountains to see it. I wish it would come to us a couple of times during the year.

7. actually, I love # 1 & # 2.........
There is a simplicity and directness about them. They almost have the quality of an etching or Bavarian stone lithograph.

I don't know about the white theme....here in the SF Bay area there isn't a lot of white...but I did go out today and start noticing white things....like paper whites aka narcissi blooming. I have found when I try to photograph white, there is a lot of blur in the photograph.
