We had so much fun. Rachel and the crew had to leave immediately after the show to catch a plane, so I didn't get to meet her directly, but it was good enough just being there. Bill Wolff hung out with us outside while we were waiting to get in. He was really funny, down to earth.

It was nice to have a media person besides Greta show up here. :)

"I know" got this close to someone "I adore". Rachel is the cat's meow and we are so very fortunate she came along and makes all our lives better.
Your photos are magnificent. I know they were not easy to take. I love the way you were able to spot Rachel's face in the sea of darkness and have it illuminated.

2. Yeah, the lighting was really tricky.

I had the camera set on ISO 1000 for speed (using the 70-200 f/2.8) and then underexposed the shots so the faces (hopefully) wouldn't blow out under the TV lighting. They still aren't as good as I wanted them to be, but you only get one chance in a situation like this.

I tried to catch Rachel when she was in New Orleans last spring during the spill. I was late and all I saw was the roadies tearing down her set. :)

I couldn't even find a place to park near Deer Park Tavern when she was there so gave up. I was hoping you went. Now off to see your photos.
