3. The light here is fantastic this time of year.

The sun still moves in an arc, a very long arc that starts in the northeast and travels in an elliptical path to sunset in the northwest. It gives us angular light for hours. This was taken around 10:00 a.m. probably, five hours after sunrise, but the sun was still fairly low.

Evening shots are even better. I took some out on the Coastal Trail a couple of nights ago around 8:00 p.m. or so (three hours before sunset), and the lighting was magical. I haven't had a chance to post those pictures yet, but I will.

Compared to our ducks. I'm a huge fan of duck pictures and I love this. I really wonder what they are thinking when they look at each other.

4. I second the comments about the lighting
and the long beaks.
Very beautiful.
I'm also glad the water is blue. Whenever I look at TV water is brown and oil colored.
