Here is my grandson in the middle of his work...as promised

He will graduate from the Visual Arts High School Program of the University of NC School of the Arts this week.

His thesis, chosen by him, and he worked on it for the last 3 weeks, is a drawn comic book. He drew it and blew up the 34 pages and mounted them.
The teachers do not know the choice or content until the show is up.

I'm proud of him.

Here he's at 2 am after hanging the show. He could not start til 10:30 and you are looking at half of the drawings.



And this is the day of the show in the tie I bought him.

I wish every high school student had the opportunity to develop and showcase their talent this way. After the inspiration, dedication, and effort; he didn't need a grade to know he succeeded. Nice he had such a talented grandma to photograph the event as well.

Parents, and you have to be so proud of him. I love the second photo because I can see your grandson better. Now you both need to put his portfolio online so we can all see it. What are his plans for the future? Kudos to all of you and tell him congrats from a stranger, never lose the love of creating.
