question about digital cameras and lenses

can you use pentex(pentax?) lenses with a digital camera?
or are they compatible with canon or minolta?

i heard they have a canon digital camera that you can use the old canon lenses with.
is this true?

1. it depends on the camera

afaik, no "old" canon lenses work with any of their bodies, they made a complete break a few years ago with old lenses

nikon, on the other hand, on some bodies you can use any lens they ever made since 1959

if the pentax lenses are m42 mount, there are cameras that take them

2. digging lenses out now.

helping my dad out. he's stuck in the dark ages and doesn't want to part with the lenses. lol

3. i found a K200D camera that supports the lenses.

5. Adapters are very cheap. Generally, you'll lose all of the auto features, but

the lens will function fine. I've used legacy Pentax glass on my Olympus, so I'm sure that you can do it with Pentax digital, or with Canon or Nikon, etc. (with the adapters).
