Serving the dead since 1844 (dial-up warning)
St. James Cemetery on a drizzly afternoon. This is now a downtown graveyard, but in the 1840s was a lengthy, muddy horse ride from town. Resting place of some of Upper Canada's early elite, the type of people who have streets and buildings named after them.

2. OH the color! I'm so glad you left it in, though the b/w shot
is very touching and so obviously a photo at the height of autumn.
The orange is overwhelming against the almost colorless headstones and statues. A feast, really.
Number 4 is my favorite. There is real movement in that shot.

Number 6 is phenomenal.

13. Straight B&W or desaturated don't seem to work with the script I use. I had
to add a bit of sepia tone.

BTW, the anaglyph was done in GIMP with an anaglyph plugin.

6. What an eye!
JeffR these are gorgeous! I love them all but was especially taken by the first one with the monument echoing the shapes of the trees on that exquisitely perfect carpet of autumn leaves. Then the 6th one taken from the perfect angle! I love the background showing the finality of the dead leaves and the promise of the live leaves... sigh. The 9th and 11th ones were breathtaking too! The sinking/listing gravestone adds much to the mood along with the autumn colors. The last one, well, it's perfect, simply perfect!

8. Thanks, everyone. Seems this will be the last of the fall color here.
Strong winds today have brought a lot of leaves down. Gray season has begun.:scared:

14. I really like...
These are all fantastic. I really like the celtic cross and the fourth photo. The fall colours give the starkness of the stone additional punch.
