Many snapshots - and settling in - communing and adapting
I met up with my Mom and adopted sister who are not used to this kind of heat

Well, first they floated

Then they started to look up

Then Mom made a friend

Other than taking their pictures - I looked up some as well

A tropical SQUALL hit for about 15 min - and flooded the parking lot

And at the grocery store someone even looked up to me

2. Thank you so much. It honors me to get specific feedback, and makes
me feel that maybe I'm not boring folks.
I did some serious swimming in all that wonderful warm water today, and I think it is now time for concentrated sleep.

Story:
A long time ago my parents helped a young boy in a tiny village, who did not want to be a farmer which his family destiny had laid out for him to become.
They gave him books to read, discussed them with him, showed him options.

He became educated, famous and wealthy.
He credits my parents for giving him a start.

He has a large phenomenal condo in the Fla. Keys, and in this rare life occurrence where the original people who did a good deed get re-paid, he allows my mother a full free month a year in it for the rest of her life with any visitors of her choosing.

We have been meeting there every year for a long long time, it's like a home away from home, and a place for our family members to meet since we are normally so far apart.

Pretty special, eh?

Absolutely wonderful.

And you don't bore nobody, Mira. You bring so many wonderful slices of life and fine photographs here to share. We're all blessedly fortunate for it.

4. That's a wonderful story, Mira!
How great it is for you to be able to get together with your family in such a beautiful place every year!

I'm enjoying all the pictures you're taking! Very nice! The one of the little girl with the puppy is just adorable.

6. You have a knack for making water looking so ..real.
That picture of the post-squall?
I was wondering what it would look like upside down.
If it would be...looking up.

ok...so how long are you gonna be....in your vacation place?

8. What a splendid time for you gals!
And a magnificent story to go with it. That water looks soooo inviting; the only time I get near big water it's off the Washington coast in December.

Love the pics, that reflection is amazing. My fave is the last one - but that may have something to do with being a lifelong softie when it comes to kids.

The one of the bird made me think of my oldest brother; at 65 he still refuses to look up when he hears birds, has something to do with when he was 12 at looked up at some passing gulls with his mouth open. . .
