A Unique Community
I photographed a work project day in a small community near Asheville, today(for a school project). The turn-out was great and quite a bit was accomplished. It is a vibrant community, with young and old. Here are a few shots from the day. I didn't include many of the actual 'working shots', as I am still sorting through what will be in my final project.

1. Jesus and the Shoes! (sounds like a band)
Both great. And I love the reflected sunlight on Nat and Sadie.

4. Thanks!
The shoes were just as I found them. It looked like someone had just walked out of them months ago.

2. You are chronicling Americana. It's just awesome what you are seeing, Tekisui.
With Nat and Sadie I wonder how they are handling the horrible increase in cigarette prices, it may be presumptuous of me to think they are not in the top 5% of income bracket that Obama is taxing more heavily.
The pictures just allow a glimpse.
The shoes are breaking my heart, and the photo of Jesus, in the wrong hands, would suggest that if you are not born again quickly you will reach the DEAD END.

(did you notice that?)

3. The juxtaposition of Jesus and Dead End is why I took it.
Depending on the viewer, it could go different ways.

Sadie is Nat's mother, and they are having a hard time. Sadie's mother died 6 months ago, and they can't afford anyone to cut the lawn, which I have offered to do for free. They don't have much, but they have each other.
