Vertical Panorama

Now that I know about Autostitch, I can try a more hemispheric panorama :)

The clouds would be the only problem in such an endeavor with this scene:

1. I can see how clouds could be a problem

But I don't think they were with this scene..

A DSLR would have a lot less trouble than a pocket cam, DSLRs usually shoot a lot faster, I know mine will.

Interesting textures, on the ground and in the sky.

2. Yes, this was a nice view, though I had to crop quite a lot to get a square image.

What I like most is the good contrast in the clouds. The normal wide shots are particularly powerful that way. I was trying out a neutral density filter I bought, I think it's one of the darkest, a 16, I believe. It also helps make the colors pop out all the more :)

3. Very textural

and I thought there was symmetry here as well, with the water making a smooth seam between the clouds and weblike foreground :)
