Instruments Musicaux Anciens
I've always liked this little shop in Paris that sells old musical instruments. Yesterday, while out wandering around in the Marais, I decided to try taking a few shots of its window. This was the best I could do under the circumstances-standing in the middle of the street dodging traffic and waiting for pedestrians to walk by.

1. I love it..
Interesting shot with a great deal for the viewer to absorb, both in the window and the reflection.

7. When I first came to this forum, someone posted photos of a small Paris Opera house
(might have been you)
I was similarly affected, it made me a touch homesick. I'm a German immigrant.

Once I flew from here to Paris, met my mother who came in by train from the south of Germany at the Gare de Lyon train station, and we spent 2 glorious unforgettable weeks just hanging out in museums etc. etc. etc.

She is 84 now, but if I sent the money she would be there tomorrow.

8. Da haben Sie recht,
ich war's, der hier jene Fotos des Opernhauses stellte. :D

Wissen Sie was?

M
This was fun

LOL-I know that "Leider muessen wir...nach Paris..." sounds ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I love Paris! It's just that spending one one day in Berlin doesn't seem right.

I haven't seen anyone spit over anyone's shoulder in quite a while, come to think of it, but people still say toi-toi-toi!

Thanks Mira!

See you!

B

11. I had to google the instrument. A highly glorified enhanced Lute, is what I came up with.
You look awe inspiring in the picture, great hair and clothes, and very devoted :)

I have a friend in Germany who plays all kinds of new and old fashioned flutes, she and her group dress up in medieval costumes and play the old classical compositions with Spinett (the kind of piano Mozart played) etc. in cloisters and castles through Europe.

Nice talking to you and all the best in Berlin.
Ich bin kein Berliner,

M

3. I like it!
The reflections only add to this little masterpiece.

Is the shop lit up at night? If so, it might be fun to see what you could get at night.

6. Thanks NV Whino!
I'll have to go by there one evening and see if it's lit up. That's a good idea.

12. I'd like to hear some of those being played.
It would be fun to go in there and plink on that big harp. I bet it wouldn't be long before they asked me to leave.

enjoyed the pic :applause:
