I'll try to take pictures, depending on how thick the ashfall is. I don't want to ruin my cameras, but still it's kind of an interesting event I'd want to document.

Anyway, keep us in your thoughts. I'd really rather the thing simmer down.

1. Yikes!
Guess that explains all the earthquakes.

Stay safe.

4. Hope you can get some
pictures if it blows but more hoping it would send the ash out to sea instead of on you. I'd rather it change its mind than bury Anchorage in ash. You don't seem to have anyone at the top running your state government to lead any help efforts that would be needed. I have been keeping up with your news/blog post and forwarding them along to others. I do not want anyone I know to not know or forget how bad Palin is.

5. Yeah, if it goes off this weekend she'll be back east
for that stupid Alfalfa dinner. Not that she'd do anything helpful anyway if she were in the state. Sarah's watching out for Sarah and no one else.

6. I'm thinking it might be
better for all of you if she is out of the way in any emergency. We used to have a babybushwannabe governor and we are still trying to recover. He still rears his ugly toupee every once in a while to scream at how our now Dem gov is ruining the state. I cam sympathize and only hope you can ditch this one after one term.

10. I have a shot almost identical to that.
Okay, you've shamed me -- I'll dig out some "archival footage."

11. Here's the very latest update
Edited on Fri Jan-30-09 06:59 PM by Blue_In_AK
Intense seismicity continues at Redoubt this afternoon. Clear webcam views, satellite, and radar data indicate that the volcano has not yet erupted. Clouds have moved in to obscure the webcam view over the last several minutes.

The Aviation Color Code remains at ORANGE and the Volcano Alert Level remains at WATCH.

Iliamna on the left, Redoubt on the right.

And a couple more shots out of the archives, and obviously needing some work to brighten them up a little, but I don't have time right now.

14. It did clear up, so I'd have a better view.
But it's just simmering today.
