And even though he's a leading Dem Senator, he doesn't have the ability to do much more than speak out about it. (for the time being, that is ;))

I fully expect we'll take a chamber or two in November. They can't steal all of those elections if the margins are big enough, can they?

6. Am I the only one who worries that this sounds more "out now"

then Kerry's real position is. It is a fair quote and it's not taken out of context from the speech. I just worry because Kerry's op-ed, which included a brilliant well thought out attempt to jump start diplomacy.

7. I questioned the choice of the quote. I wondered why the media

is now so willing to mention any comparisons between Vietnam and Iraq,when they did their best in the past to dismiss the similarities. I also thought the choice of this made Senator Kerry appear very, very left of center. A little too left for my comfort, but others may see it differently.
