Back from DC

I had a great time, but I'm glad to be home. Now I've got to convince my cats to forgive me for abandoning them, with only a daily visit from the pet-sitter for human company. I suspect they'll stop snubbing me around the time I'm trying to fall sleep tonight, and then they'll demand attention.

I took a bunch of pics, which I'm trying to upload to Photobucket. But it's taking me a while. So I may not have pics to share until tomorrow.

8. None of the pics I took with GV came out :(

Although I think she posted one that has her in it. It was a posed pic of some of the DU crew at the march. The guy with the "Meet the Fuckers" t-shirt was a DUer. I just never quite got all the names correctly attached to the faces.

Edit: At the following link from a post by GV, in the first pic. GV is the gorgeous blonde, dressed all in denim, near the right side of the pic. I'm the fat chick in purple next to her, behind the light-blue sign that reads "Bush Lies, Who Dies".

9. Pics from the freeper rally on 9/25

I accidentally found the freeper rally on Sunday, as I was walking back to my hotel from the National Museum of the American Indian. I took a few pics as I passed, being careful not to get too close. Didn't want to catch any freeper cooties. :P

10. My pics of our adventures on Capitol Hill

Met up with AngryDemocrat (aka Misty) on Monday morning, and we set off for Capitol Hill. We took the standard tour of the Capitol building, then set off to get gallery passes to see our government in action. Unfortunately, my camera batteries died before we finished our journey. So I don't have any pics of our trek to Misty's congressman's office (Harold Ford of TN), or to Joe Biden's office. But I took some pics of our trips to Kerry's and Kennedy's offices (Unfortunately, neither Senator was there. :( ), as well as some from the tour we took before that.

We also visited Joe Biden's office, as well the office of a Dem Congressman from Misty's home state of TN, Harold Ford. But my camera batteries had died by then. And we were not allowed to take pics in the Senate or House galleries. :(

11. OMG I love your pix!!

I LOVE DC so much. Those pics bring back memories of my recent trip. Also, it's so cool to see what you and angrydem look like in person! I'd really love to have a Kerry forum meetup someday, and meet all you wonderful people.
