Kerry to have a Boston press conference against the Ryan plan Monday per the BH
http://bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view.bg?articleid=1339814&format=comments&cnum=2

U.S. Sen. John Kerry is planning to weigh in on a Republican-sponsored federal budget that includes a proposal to turn Medicare into a voucher system.

The Massachusetts Democrat has scheduled a Monday news conference at a Boston senior center to talk about what he says are the dangers of Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget and the need for a "responsible approach to fiscal responsibility."

Here's hoping the Senator is able to get coverage in exposing just how bad the Ryan plan is. After all, something too radical for Gingrich, even if just for a moment, is too radical for anyone.

1. NECN covering the fact that Kerry will be attacking the Ryan budget

The video shown under the voice inadvertently contrasts the Senators, Kerry is shown at the US embassy in Afghanistan calmly answering questions and distinguished as always - Brown is walking in a hall way at what looks to be some fundraising event (with a prominent smirking lady in a polka dot dress) and then at a podium.

They add at the end that Brown favors the approach, but won't say if he will vote for it.

I hope the Brown's waffling and the fact that he has spoken positively about something like this - when the plan has been out since the first week of April will hurt - even if he then does vote against it.

2. Brown is now a "no" on the Ryan plan - he wrote a politico op-ed today

Here is the politico link - http://dyn.politico.com/printstory.cfm?uuid=AE0FFD9A-2F57-4C4C-8C47-314BF84F1BE4

Boston Globe trying to understand his position before this op-ed - http://articles.boston.com/2011-05-22/news/29571894_1_ryan-plan-vote-house-gop-budget-plan

(funny last line -
"Aides made no mention of his having misspoken. Brown's comments to Talking Points Memo appear to be the first time that he has claimed to have intended to say one thing and instead said another." )

Now I guess we will see his team with tons of "Brown is an independent thinker" comments.

3. Good
Ryan is radioactive, he just is not fully aware of the fact (yet).
