Sen. Kerry visits Quincy, MA on Tuesday (great video)
The Quincy Patriot Ledger has a nice story up about the "Kerry on your Corner" visit Senator Kerry did on Tuesday in Quincy, MA. The video is absolutely wonderful.

Seriously, that video is "wicked awesome."

1. The EOR comments are insane
Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 11:46 AM by karynnj
In a phone interview, O’Reilly accused Kerry of putting his request on the back burner in order to ensure minimal public exposure for O’Reilly, a first-time statewide candidate with a fraction of Kerry’s $8.8 million in campaign funds.

“Here I am, a working-class person, and all of a sudden John Kerry is showing up at Dunkin’ Donuts. It’s just a farce,” said O’Reilly, 54, a onetime commercial lobsterman and Gloucester city councilor. “I want a direct answer: yes or no.”

1) EOR is implying it is Kerry's job to get him exposure. He has been campaigning full time for a year. It sounds like people just are not interested in him. It does explain why he wants 23 debates - it's the only way he can get many people out to see him.

2) He is working class? He is a millionaire trial lawyer, who doesn't seem to want people to know of his two homes. It is strange that he speaks of being a lobsterman - which I believe he did in High school or college. I know that I never speak of my HS job (Dairy Queen) and ignore my professional career.

3) Kerry showing up at Dunkin Donuts is completely normal when campaigning. I thought EOR was mad that Kerry wasn't in MA.

The video was great. I think he definitely already had the ice cream store people's vote.

2. He has proven recently that he is nothing more than a Rush Limbaugh wannabee.

He is surprised because our senator is campaigning in the state. Well, recently, he was complaining because he was not. LOL.

This may be the key of his rantings:
“Our campaign managers have to talk about that,” Kerry said.

Does he still have a campaign manager?

I think he needs two scoops though. Great video. Thannks for posting!

Oh, and what's the lapel pin he's wearing? It looks like an airplane or something.

Edited to say: Seeing this video reminds me just how much my "senators" suck. :(

6. Very nice. Oh and how sweet he mentioned Teresa's concern about his weight.
He does look thin. Maybe it is time for a cookie basket.

10. there was an article in the NYT this week
on the disappearance of soul food restaurants from Harlem, as it gets yuppified.
The descriptions of the last remaining real-soul-food restaurants had me drooling all over the newspaper. I think a conservation campaign is in order here.

Cholesterol, shmolesterol: this issue is not about physical health, but about spiritual health, and taste-bud health. :)
