Amazing Race Finale (Spoilers, of course)
Okay, I can live with Dan/Jordan. I was pulling for the cowboys.

I think the cowboys could have won had the LucasFilm stuff been set up fairly. Why did the Cowboys/*Dan teams finish in the exact same spot, while Caite/Brent finished on the other side of the room? the Cowboys had to waste a lot of time waiting for *Dan to finish before they could get started on the finish.

And the editors/producers ruined the whole thing by having the Great Lesbian v Caite Hate Hour finish off the season. As soon as that crap happened, I stopped watching. The Hate helped bring this season down for many episodes, and then they had to let it pollute the Finale. Bleh.

1. I was disappointed that the cowboys did not win.
The other guys are okay, though. At least the models did not win.

I have not been all that thrilled with the winners of the last few seasons. But I still like the show. I know my favorites are not always going to win.

2. Good show, not always good teams
I was initially upset that the brothers got ahead of the cowboys at the airport but it turned out not to matter. I thought they couldn't fly First Class, though. I almost expected a delay at the end because of that.

The brothers were really smart to keep notes.

As long as "Ms USA Americans" didn't win, I'm happy.

4. I really wanted the cowboys to win
I felt they were the best racers - calm, balanced, and good sports.

Carol and Brandy were insufferable imo - whining, complaining constantly.

I'm glad the models didn't win, but it would have been poetic justice if they had - Carol and Brandy, especially Brandy were sooo nasty toward them. Brandy's behavior at the finish was so immature, and Carol looked embarassed, as she should have!!

6. actually the cowboys lost
because despite the fact that Jordan was spinning his head directly in front of them, they still didn't understand that they had to have their person spin.

7. apparently
the bros won by 25 minutes. Coming off the flight, they breezed through customs and passport check in 5 minutes. It took the cowboys 35 minutes. Had the airport worked out differently, the cowboys win. The whole thing turned on Dan's successfully flirting with a single flight attendant.

If they're going to arrange pit stop times so that all teams are funneled onto one flight, they need to make that flight part of the pit stop, so the teams leave the airport in proper order based on how they finished the previous leg.

I'm starting to think I'm done with the Race, to be honest. In an interview, Caite said that the producers have the leeway (in the contracts) to adjust the money paid out to racers, and do so based on how "interesting" they are. So, basically, production pays people for drama. Yuck.

Think about it. The producers didn't decide at the last minute to edit in the Brandy/Caite confrontation at the Finish Line. They edited the entire season for the big payoff of a confrontation. That's not why I watch these shows. If all I wanted was confrontations and drama, I'd watch Real Housewives or some such nonsense.

8. that I will give you
I was just arguing the point that the star wars thing was set up in a way that cost the cowboys the win.

9. true
they could have caught on faster to the spinning. But I think they were out of it the minute D/J got the upgrade on the plane.

10. You have to believe that all of these shows
are staged in some way or another. I know that's what I think. Still, I really enjoying watching Amazing Race. I like to see how the teams react when faced with the situations they're put in. Also, I like to "root" for the team I like since, in a sense, it is a sporting event, and I am a big sports fan.
