1. I AM SO FREAKING JEALOUS RIGHT NOW
Edited on Sat Oct-01-05 12:22 AM by Nevernose
Was it any good? Did it tie up the loose ends? Did it focus on the what-her-name subplot, or was it a story in its own right? How were the special effects? Did it look like the last couple of Star Trek movies, basically just TV movies on the big screen? WIll I be able to take a non-fan and have them still understand what's happening w/o me whispering to them every three minutes?

Should I be watching the last four or five episodes right now, in preparation for tomorrow's matinee?

2. It was really great, but it also sucked.....
I can't say anymore without a BIG spoiler. It did tie up many loose ends. Great special effects! I would watch the DVDs before seeing it.

It's still a great movie even if you haven't seen the series.

Ebert & Roeper gave it two thumbs up.

4. I'm A Bit Sad And Angry.
It was a very good movie. I would say great but I might be a bit biased.

5. I just saw it today - great movie
It was one of the few movies lately that I was totally engrossed in. You can see it as a stand alone, but I would recommmend watching some episodes on Sci Fi Channel or do some research on the internet.

It had a much better scriptwriting and acting than any of the Star Wars movies - which isn't saying much.

Most of the Yahoo reviews are giving it an A- from fans and a B from critics.

Highly recommend and then buy the DVD

Having just seen the movie, I have to agree. 'Course, seein' as how things turned out, I'm of a mind that I ain't got much good to say 'bout the goram Alliance.

8. Loads of fun
Went to a sold out show here in Austin, TX. The audience loved it. Great effects, decent story (more detail - tied up some lose ends), funny moments, big fight sequences. Glad to see it on a big screen.

If you liked the series you'll love the movie. You can see it as a stand alone, without knowing much about the series, but it's more fun if you know the characters.

10. Just got back...
Netflix was downright stingy about coughing up the DVDs so we've been hanging out to finish seeing the series before the film.

Ouch. Great movie, but I swear I felt sucker punched for most of the 2nd through 5th acts.

We were both hoping for a sequel or a return to TV, but I'm not certain that's even possible now.

11. It's absolutely possible!
Probable even! It looks like it';s made enough cash for a second run at the theaters.
