I really enjoyed the miniseries. I didn't think i was going to, but it was great fun. I hope the series coming soon works out.

I bought it a few weeks ago.

And of course we here use the same satellites as the UK and thus already saw the first nine eps of the Series :P .

3. I wasn't too thrilled with the miniseries
I thought the baby killing scene in the beginning was over the top, as well as that little girl waiting to be blown up. I also thought the woman that played Starbuck tried a little too hard to channel Dirk Benedict... or, maybe the director/writer did?

That said, I'm so desperate for something decent to watch, that I'll tune in the for the miniseries.

Is Sci-Fi running the mini-series again before the actual series starts?

4. Two observations about BattleStar Galactica.......
No way is Commander Adama (played by Edward James Olmos) the biological father of Apollo (played by an Anglo actor).

And the music-soundtrack for the miniseries was great! :-)

5. Just got it a few days ago.
I plan to watch it tonight. I never had a chance to see it when it was first aired, so I am very excited to see it. :D

6. I, too, thought it was quite good. I was very pleasantly surprised.
I loved how they kept so many design elements of the old show (Vipers, Raiders, old Cylons, etc.) while updating stuff that seriously needed a refit (like the fact that Raiders don't need three badly-aiming Cylons flying them; they can fly themselves).

I also thought the whole genocide thing was finally portrayed quite well (and not just in an hour and a half). The Cylons now have reasons for killing humans and Baltar has his reasons for helping them.

I really enjoyed this show. Unfortunately, I don't have cable and have no plans to get it, so I'll just have to watch the rest of the run when it's released on DVD years from now.

7. Loved It
From what I hear the first episodes of the series are great as well. I taped it off the Sci-Fi channel when it came out, but I'm going to buy the DVD to have it in better resolution.

I like most Sci-Fi. It has to be pretty bad for me to turn my nose up. The gauge I used to know this was good was that my wife liked it as well. She HATED the original Battlestar Galactica, and watched this one with me in order to mock it, but she ended up liking it.

At 8:30 1/14 EST is Battlestar Galactica: The series Lowdown. 30 minutes.
