Kemetic Orthodoxy?
Anyone here ever hear of it? It is a modern practice of Ancient Egyptian religion. Probably the main one I associate myself with.

Here is some info on it: http://www.kemet.org

2. i always had a bit of a problem with this
i guess it's the lack of humility in Tamara Siuda calling herself "Her Holiness", along with the photos of her followers kneeling on the floor in front of her. She used to be on a Vodou list i'm also on and she always seemed like a reasonable person, so I find this cultish aspect of the group she runs kind of a disconnect. I also saw some claims on her site that she was 'venerated' in Haiti when she was there initiating into Vodou. I am pretty sure that was a bit of a stretch.

Just my opinion of course.

3. I understand what you mean fully

There are a few things that hold me back from becoming divined or devoting myself as a 'Shemsu' of the religion. I have an aspect of rebellion in my nature that i cannot conform to the formal greetings that they use. I also understand your skepticism of the Nisut (see, I can't even bring myself to say 'AUS' after her name). I have however, spoken with her in chat, and I speak with the Imakhu of my region a few times per week. They are all very real, not delusional at all. They know this is only a modern practice of the Ancient Religion. Nisut is considered a King spiritually, only to represent the highest branch of the tree in the Ancient Egyptian religion. They try their best to stick strictly to how it was practiced back then. Tamara is a very real and educated person. I can't see myself necessarily kneeling in front of her, but I do know it is only symbolic of how it was done in history.

The main things that attract me to the religion are the personal relationships with the Netjeru (gods/goddesses). Also many of the beliefs (which ARE complicated) are very similar to what I've always believed. I've always had an uncontrollable attraction to Ancient Egyptian history and religion since I was a child. This group is the closest I have come to 'finding my people'.

I am not formally divined, not sure if I ever will be. Just considered 'Remetj' - I have taken the beginner's courses and participate in chat sessions, etc.

I HAVE SUCH A REBELLIOUS NATURE, I CAN'T EVEN BRING MYSELF TO PERFORM RITUAL IN FRONT OF A SHRINE!!! Ha, and they would say, that's gotta be some Set in me. I have to agree!
