Burial at sea of (Blackie) -------

There will be an ASR docked along side a pier at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida June 11 at 1300 for a Burial at Sea service for (Blackie) BMC (DV1) (EOD) USN retired.

The ASR will take Blackie out to sea for burial at sea.

Smooth sailing shipmate.

FYI all ex service men and women (And active duty) and some members of their immediate family are eligible for burial at sea.

They will do caskets too. The caskets must have holes drilled in them 'Just so'. The instructions for preparing the casket is provided with the other pertinent information concerning burial at sea.

The ship board procedure is quite elaborate.
