This story is also posted in GD or GDP. I thought it should be here, too. I was lurking at "WEE," and found some of their comments most interesting. As indicated by one poster on that site, the sudden "interest" in the spending habits of the Congressional Black Caucus, is quite curious, to say the least. I understand PO was a member but I learned he never got their support for pet causes. I don't get that because ACORN is one of the CBC's constributors! The one theory that popped up was that PO perhaps gave NYT the nudge to investigate, to put them on notice for being one of the obstructing forces behind his finanacial reform bill.

The CBC certainly isn't doing anymore OR less than most of the caucuses in D.C., but the sudden interest in their financing and spending coupled with the interest in Harold Ford's taxes, leaves me suspicious.

Any other theories out there???
