1. According to TCM.com...
the theme is Joseph Cotton: Star of the Month, not Orson Welles (even though all the films do have a Welles connection.

2. D'oh! And I love Joe.
I called up the December schedule, which of course doesn't contain the themes, only the titles of the films, and so I missed the Cotten connection.

But I'm keen for some Joe Cotten movies. I hope they don't forget The Farmer's Daughter, for all those who have not yet had our fill of election fever.

4. Cotton and Welles had a long history.
They worked together in their early days as actors on radio, and had a reputation as mischief-
makers.

They used to ad-lib their way through plays and substitute dialogue that would break the other actors
up and cause havoc in the studio. They must have been good though, because they kept on working.
