Gran Turismo 5 for Christmas?

I saw a lot of the reports of a date on Amazon a few days ago but remember... Never... Ever... Believe a release date you see on Amazon unless confirmed by the maker. I've never heard of GTplanet before and have no idea how reliable they are but it seems a lot of places are picking this up and repeating it, thought I would post the source.

With the announcement of a damage system and a NASCAR license:

I am drooling more for this game then any other. I hope that come the 18th, they make the announcement official.

I got my PS3 back around Jan. and thought oh yeah, GT has to be out by now but nooooooo. This is still the same GT that was talked about when the PS3 came out, they have still not released it :(

They did release GT 5 Prologue, which is kind of like a decent sized demo but I avoided that and really have no idea how it is though it did get rave reviews. You can see what it includes here:
