GFE Membership Launch Party Details
Come celebrate the first day of spring and the launch of GFE’s Membership Program.

Enjoy live music from The Slow Motion Cowboys , a tongue-in-cheek Garden Chic fashion show, A Kale Cook-off, hand-screened t-shirts, button making, face painting, and a portable, compostable hair salon on site!! That's right you can get your hair cut in the garden while drinking a beer and eating pizzas hot out of the cob oven!

Membership fosters greater community and will continue to evolve, be a part of it! We are constantly looking for new ways to benefit the extraordinary community of gardeners, educators, and advocates, who provide their support to GFE. As part of the Membership Program, we have partnered with local businesses to positively impact the gardening community.

Membership benefits include 10% discounts at businesses such as Cole Hardware, Arizmendi Bakery, The Urban Farmer Store, Flora Grubb, Independent Nature and many more. In addition we will be providing a resource depot and access to seeds and cuttings to propagate a beautiful variety of plants from the Garden! More details of the membership program and how to apply will be available at the party!

4:30-4:50 Tongue-in-Cheek Garden Chic Fashion Show

5:30-6:00 Raffle Drawing (prizes include gardening tools & books, gift certificates from Cole Hardware, NOPA, The Urban Farmer Store, the Green Arcade Bookstore, and more!)

ABOUT THE GARDEN FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Garden for the Environment teaches youth and adults in San Francisco to garden organically. Founded in 1990, GFE provides hands-on education to 3,000 youth and adults each year at its ½ acre organic teaching garden.
