I need all of your good thoughts, good energy, protection, karma, prayers, aura/life cleansing rituals etc.

(see previous: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=245x61498)

I had another accident this morning. I was not hurt....

driving about 15 miles per hour, road was icy so I'm going slow, and at this point I'm looking for a place to turn around SAFELY and head back home...

car in front of me starts to fish tail (I was very far back from him, giving plenty of room). I started skidding slowly, car spun about 90 degrees, I got it under control, avoided the guardrails and other obstacles.. then the car in back of me skids into me

dented the left front panel/door where they meet. his car is fine, just superficial damage to front bumper.

this is a rental car... talked to my insurance agent already, waiting for some information from the other guy, he was driving a company car so he's has to go through his workplace to get claim number etc.

I'm at a point where I just want to curl up in a saferoom. I just don't believe the crap I;ve been hit with since March...

I am just so freaked out and upset and I don't know what... thanks for listening

3. Maybe get thyself into the bathtub.
I've posted this innumerable times but perhaps you've not seen it as yet.

It's from some writing I crafted a couple years ago.

12. I stole this one from now rumored to be reincarnated, though used to
be, old "sleeping prophet" Edgar Cayce.

Take baths. If you have no bathtub available, then bathe around. Aaaand
don't tell me that you have no extra time for baths, as baths take about
15 minutes, showers take 5-10. No one is really that busy or all too
important to not be able to do so.

Cayce recommended adding 1 part baking soda to 2 parts Epsom Salts
for baths. That stuff is really cheap. and readily available. I add
my fave oil (lavender). You can add yours. Ritual full immersion is
an age old, time & tried tradition for more than just physical
purification. It is especially so for more sensitive sorts. It is great
to do during lunations. That would mean, once every two weeks or so.
It is alleged to release all sorts of accumulated psychic effluvia
from bodies and auric fields . I just know that when I take one, I
invariably feel reborn, and am reminded that I too have a life, instead
of contemplating the troubles of others all the time as is my
ridiculously inherent proclivity.

Addendum from ccpup's grammy: dunk under at least three times.

It's a really powerful psychic detox.

Given the proximity of your South Lunar Node to tomorrow's Mars station, if you can you might want to try to do this as close to 5:33 pm EST when that station will occur.

If you do it maybe try visualizing being bathed in whatever color feels comforting and protective to you and affirming that you are releasing negativity and vulnerability while you are splishing splashing.

It would be good to do anyway to minimize any aches and pains that may be lurking from the impact of the accident.

The last accident I had, I went into shock and didn't even feel the impact of it for about 3 weeks. But I'm in some regards a bit slow. LOL

Vedic astrologers will do these rituals called "Yaga Yagas" (spelled phonetically) to ward off negative manifestations of different planetary influences.

Perhaps baths work just as well. It's tough to measure really.

Did you invoke protection this morning or did you forget to?

4. I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now, radfringe.
I've been trying to think of things that could help. If you're open to it, you might want to try this:

5. Wow.
In 1998, after my dad died, my mother bought me a little car, because that's what my dad wanted.
My mother went a bit wacko after his death, but that's another matter. I had the car checked out, new tires, front end alignment, the works. The mechanic said he wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California. I said, I just might. However, I drove it to Dallas instead. Three of the wheel covers blew off on the 60 mile trip. The CD player stopped working as soon as I got on the freeway. It had an oil leak. This led me to meet a mechanic who is still a dear friend. When he fixed the oil leak, he found that a tie joint (or some such), the thing that holds the wheel on the front, was broken. I could have been in serious trouble if it had come apart while I was driving. All fixed, all good.

I was visiting a friend in the former small town, and driving in an unfamiliar area, not realizing there was no signal or stop sign at an intersection of one of the two lane country highways. I was hit from the right side. Barely hit the bumper, but spun me up into a yard, taking out a crepe myrtle tree. I had to have it towed back to Dallas. My friend fixed it, although it was a little crooked on the frame.

What happened next has made me question "gratitude" ever since. Two months later, I was working a temp job and drove across the city to apply for the job I had decided I had to have. On the way back, I clearly remember being so grateful for my little car that could take me anywhere. The next day, two months to the DAY of the accident, I was driving over to see my mechanic friend after work, and a young guy got confused with the pedals (he said) and hit my car full force on the right front wheel, knocking the axis out. What about my gratitude? I was so deflated. I also got banged up pretty good on that one, broken sternum and all. I felt like I was wearing a sign that said, HIT ME!

I had to come to the conclusion that the car was jinxed for some reason. It was totaled.

I don't have any statistics, but it seems to me that car accidents have been on the rise in general. I had a wreck six years later and it was just because I was preoccupied worrying about money while driving. I don't do worry behind the wheel any more. I'm not putting your driving skills into question. I just want you to know you're not the only one who has had pile driver experiences. Maybe it does make us so much more grateful for the times when all is going well.

6. Update and some GOOD NEWS
got the rest of the info from the guy that hit me, contacted car rental place, filled out their paperwork and brought it to them

they gave me new rental car, said these things happen

the guy that hit me was driving a work car, so it's up to his employer and the car rental place's insurance to duke it out.

I spoke with my insurance agent earlier, added coverage for towing and car rental - here's to the hope I never have to use it in this kind of situation again.

GOOD NEWS: my partner has been out of work since September. Today she gets a call from someone she knows, that person's sister is a manager for a small mall (converted from an old factory) - one of her tenants is expanding, took over another 3,000 feet of space and yesterday their office manager gave a two week notice.

My partner's connection called when we got back from car rental, telling her to e-mail resume to sister who will WALK it over to the tenant.

partner sent resume right away... Keeping fingers crossed

9. I hope you're going to see your chiropractor.

Mine has told me that even slight accidents with seemingly negligible results can have bad consequences if left unattended.

11. I agree with stella: baking soda scrub in the shower, at least.
I do that each day now and I swear it's helping.
