THE SONG OF CREATION

PART ONE

In the beginning

There was Spirit.

Spirit moved over the void and existed in timeless bliss and awareness.

Alpha and omega. Beginning without end. No thing and everything contained in one unlimited, unrealized potential.

And Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit sprang all of creation.

And Spirit was in bliss.



As Spirit thought, creation responded.

Shapes and colors and sounds emerged to delight and bring glory.

And Spirit wanted for nothing.

For whatever Spirit wanted was instantly manifest.

And so Spirit danced and played and grew in the power and knowledge of creation.

But time passed and Spirit become a master of physical creation.

And when Spirit had mastered the intricacies of creation,

And when Spirit had exhausted the potential of imagination,

Spirit thought.

Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty.

Shapes and forms, colors and configurations danced in the awareness of Spirit.

Yet for all the awesome power of Spirit, creation was transient and ephemeral.

The energy was too hot and the form to fleeting.

And as the thought of Spirit moved on to new shapes and forms, the old shapes passed out of existence.

And Spirit thought, what wonder would there be if all things that delighted and stretched the imagination would last.

So Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit, the energies were reduced, the vibration slowed, and with a great explosion of light, a new universe was born.



As Spirit had intended, things were different at this level.

For as the vibration slowed, and the fires cooled, creation became thick and physicality became darker.

And Spirit required time to create.

But still Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit did spring crystal palaces and lush gardens, beautiful music and exalted art.

And from the thought of Spirit did spring many wondrous forms as vehicles for the magnificence of Spirit.

And Spirit wanted for nothing.

For Spirit was alpha and omega, beginning without end and whatever Spirit wanted was manifest and the whole of creation proved a wondrous playground for Spirit.

But when Spirit mastered the intricacies of creation and exhausted the potential of imagination, Spirit thought.

Spirit had created infinite wonder and beauty and had experienced infinite variety and delight. But the effects were transient; the creation ephemeral; the energy too hot.

And Spirit thought, what wonder would there be if all these things could last.

So Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit, the energies were reduced and the vibration slowed and with a great explosion of light, a new universe was born.



As Spirit had intended, things were different at this level for as the vibration slowed, and the fires cooled, creation became thick and dark.

And now, Spirit required more time to create.

But still Spirit thought.

And from the thought of Spirit did spring crystal palaces and lush gardens, beautiful music and exalted art. Many wondrous forms were manifest as vehicles for the magnificence of Spirit.

But when Spirit mastered the intricacies of creation, exhausted the potential of imagination, and grew bored of the vehicles within, Spirit thought.

For all the awesome power of Spirit, and all the creative glory of this universe, still Spirit stood outside the created universe.

Spirit could see, but could not experience.

Spirit could hear, but not feel.

So Spirit thought.

And as the thought spread over the darkness,

And as the breath spread out over the waters,

And as the hand reached into the fires,

Life sprang forth.

2. Inspiration

Dear Michael, I am brand new to this site but someone I highly respect told me you had written a book that she was very affected by. So I bought her the book. I have not read it myself. If the way you write here is like what can be found in your book I will get it myself. I need help. My husband has cancer; he is truly my soulmate of over 30 years and I am distraught. I need to find ways to nurture Spirit within me because I was agnostic for so long and in the last few years I have so much needed and wanted to find the spiritual connection. Maybe your book can help me. Anyway, what you wrote is very beautiful. Thank you.

I posted your request for help for you, and I notice you haven't even been to the thread, or if you have, you haven't responded to anyone:

You haven't responded to my PM to you which was in response to yours -- which is fine, actually, but in it I suggested to you that you take a look at the very thread you first posted in asking for some help (the Spiritual Emergency thread) because there were a number of really good ideas on it...

I hope this doesn't sound harsh or insensitive, but it looks to me like you keep running around asking for help here and there, yet I don't see you taking advantage of what help is offered or even acknowledging it very well (or at all).

I can understand fully feeling panic-stricken, bereft, all afloat and rudderless, etc. or whatever, but at some point you're going to have to ground yourself enough to take advantage of the help I KNOW in my heart you are surrounded with in the form of your own Spirit Guides and Loved Ones who've gone on -- not to mention some of the loving comfort and help these wonderful people at DU have tried to offer you.

IOW: get a grip, girl. Center yourself. Breathe, dammit. Help is available, it's at hand, free for the taking, as much as you can possible use, but you're going to have to snap out of it and begin to utilize and put it to use. That is going to require an active step from YOU. No one can do it for you.

I also sense that the pipeline is a little clogged from your inability/unwillingness/whatever (being too scattered?) to RECEIVE. Stop what you're doing, please, and consciously, deliberately RECEIVE. Receive, accept, acknowledge and be grateful. Please.

3. Quite different from the one I grew up with from the Bible.

Only similarity to me is how effortlessly spirit does his/her thing and then looks around and sees that it is good.

aint it? I guess spirit spends alot of time thinking and visualizing about stuff.

6. As above, so below

Is this not the way we create in our own lives? It isn't as effortless as this, but the process is the same. It takes us longer, at a lower vibration, but it still happens.

We visualize something that we want to create, and while we hold that image in our hearts and spirits, we move in the mundane down a path to it.

One of the concrete signs, for me, that *my*, or *our,* vibration has been rising is that I'm seeing this process speeded up.

Things I've been focused on as "I want to make it happen someday" are now coming together and happening all at once.

I've been bouncing back and forth between mundane financial considerations (Can't afford; won't happen; must compromise; etc.), and "why not?" at several levels.

I've finally reached the point that I can hold the vision up, and know that the right door will open at the right time.

although I am not quite in the same "space" as you are now, it seems, I do feel/know what you are experiencing.

10. I'm hanging in and hanging on.

I've got a month's worth of stuff to get done this week; then I can settle back down to taking care of only 3 major life changes/projects at once. ;-)

12. Since you mentioned it!

I did visit the girls this weekend, but didn't ride. Too busy packing and cleaning the house, and it was....you guessed it...raining. Again.

I cannot believe this is still the desert. We're approaching a record here. I don't mind the rain; I love it. I just wish all that rain would drop during the week when I'm locked inside at work anyway!
