Interesting blog entry about Cayce on animal reincarnation.
The ARE has a somewhat new blog and the latest entry is about some of Cayce's answers to people who asked if animals reincarnate. Thought some might want to take a look.

1. Wow,
I went to that link about half an hour ago and I'm finally back. What caught my interest was at the very bottom of the page: Why Horrible Things Happen In Certain Locations
http://www.edgarcayce.org/are/blog.aspx?id=3448&blogid=445

I really wanted to find out more about that place and I ended up on this site:
http://www.villiscaiowa.com/the_haunting.html

Creepy, yes, BUT there is much to be gained from that page.
"We discover that the journey is beginning not ending.
Why then, Villisca? Is it as simple as ghosts returning home? Or has Lot 310 been chosen? What better place to learn how to overcome the obstacles we face? What better place to learn forgiveness? What better place to learn from the mistakes we’ve made in the past? What better place to point us to the future? We need a sign and the ghosts and spirits of Lot 310 are providing it.

"This is the beginning of the spiritual journey upon which we will all eventually embark. Timing is critical: we will all arrive here at different times and in different lives. The song by Train, Calling all Angels, illustrates this message. How many times have we told ourselves “if we could just have a sign”– we could believe. Proof and faith, however, were never meant to go hand in hand. One will never beget the other. Signs, we’re being given. Faith in those signs has to come from within."

Then there's the flower. Some years ago I had one of those pop up in my garden. I had no idea what it was. It came back for a few years, then quit. Now I have a whole lot to think about.

Well, if you have a few hours to spare, you might enjoy this journey.

Hugs all around.

2. book on animal reincarnation
This is the absolute best book on animal reincarnation:

http://www.amazon.com/Kim-Sheridan/e/B001JRZSVY/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_5?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1277067876&sr=1-5

It's very thick and it took her years and years to write. She's a meticulous researcher and the book is very well organized. My guess is that if you read it, you'll never again doubt whether animals reincarnate.

The author prefers rats as pets. Now I know that may sound a little crazy--it did to me at first--but they actually make very good pets. The major problem with them as pets is that they have a very short lifespan: only a few years. That means your heart breaks every couple of years, as they age and die off.

However, it created a unique opportunity for this writer to, over a period of time, observe the rats who came to her. She opened a rat shelter in her house. Interestingly she began seeing some of her favorite rats come back to her in other bodies.

Some, however, did not. To find out why one in particular did not, she consulted with a psychic who can reach animals on the other side. She found her dearly beloved rat who had not yet returned (Petey, I think was his name) said that he was quite happy being in the spirit world for now and had no intentions of returning, especially since he liked his job over there so much. What was his job? Helping humans and their animal spirits connect so they could once again live their lives together.

This book is so good that I bought my own copy. Here's the link:

3. Although I cannot say that I am aware of any specific instances of animals reincarnating to be with
their human familiars, I am definitely of the mind that animals do indeed reincarnate and those who are of the species who have contracted to interact and develop along with humans, can have favorites and stick around them after death. The concept of them returning to their human familiars in later or even the same human lifespan is not so unusual, and is rather pleasant to consider.

Love the animal kingdom!
