So David Wilcock was wrong

He said that sometime before the end of 2009, there would be an announcement of contact with aliens. He said the television time had already been booked.

He was wrong. Somehow I don't think it's the first time that he was wrong. :D

Does anyone know whether he has explained his error?

1. Although David does a lot of good...and helps a lot of people...

most of the things he teaches have been available for free at any woman's circle in the Pagan world since the late 60's (that I am aware of).
I don't know about the aliens though :)

... much of newer more scientific information and theories were never in any of the women's circles or pagan groups I was part of. I suppose the generic idea of creating our reality has been around in various forms, but I do feel Wilcock has gone far beyond that.

There is a ton of "new" information - or certainly information viewed from a very different perspective than the stuff of "women's circles & pagan groups". Check out some of his newer articles if you get a chance. :)

2. He's always seemed pretty careful with his words to me.

He was reporting that he had heard that "disclosure" would happen before the end of the year, but he hasn't made a specific prediction on his own. His basic story right now is that there are a lot of forces pushing for "disclosure", and that if the U.S. wants to be out in front of it, it will have to come soon, as in very soon, but I'm not aware of any specific date he's given. After the fact he did say that there was time booked for a date in November, but he also said that date had been nixed because someone had announced it. Wilcock thought announcing it would make it impossible for it to happen on that date. He has said that although he knew the date (November 27th, 2009), he had deliberately refrained from mentioning it.

You can interpret Wilcock in a number of ways. It's possible to dismiss him, but I can't bring myself to do it. I think he does think carefully about what he's saying, but I'm not sure that everyone who hears his message hears the nuance he puts in it. I think sometimes that his self-promotion is disarmingly direct, other times that he's just adept at telling stories that are popular and is building a career doing that. I really don't know what to think nowadays, the experienced world seems beyond any sort of categorization. Throw into it also that if you believe that human consciousness as a collective has some influence on reality, then the stories people believe affect reality as well. So telling a story about positive change can be charlatanism, or conjuration.

As a long-term fan of Buckminster Fuller, I sort of subscribe to his notion that what appears to be some sort of overarching negative conspiracy behind the scenes is actually the infighting of a number of obscure interest groups - it only appears coordinated. Wilcock seems to have the same take, so I guess I give him a lot of slack.

6. I agree...plus he is not the one who gave a specific date.

It was actually mentioned during a talk given by one of the members of Project Camelot I believe.

Actually for me personally, I've found David's work to be some of most well researched and clearest information I've come across over the years.

3. My feel on it

is that there won't be a real disclosure until sometime next year. The energies will be there for upheaval and extreme change.

4. So many books have been written regarding first contact.

In them, religious upheaval and fanaticism appear to be a continous thread. (slaps forehead)

5. What I believe

is that the energy of situations are cyclical. But, how they manifest are up to us. Next year will be the 10th anniversary of 911 which brought a lot of upheaval, extreme change, shock and awe and it was all very negative. So, that energy will be here again next year. And, I believe disclosure will work with the energy but positively. It will ultimately bring a lot of shock and awe, extreme change and a sense of upheaval because life won't be the same after full disclosure. Where lies brought destruction 11 years ago, the truth could bring in a whole new life which will still be pain full for some and unbelievably positive for most. The opposite of 911.

It's about what we decide we want as a collective. Do we want to repeat the negative scenarios or do we want to finally step into the incredible and enlightened future we've been talking about for so long. I believe disclosure (and not just about extra terrestrials) will bring in the latter.
