*URGENT REQUEST* for my MIL has to undergo surgery

Today while staying with her sister because her daughter was out of town for a conference that she goes on this time every year. She fell (this morning) on her hip. 9-11 was called and took her to the hospital ER. I called the ER and they said they took x-rays and looks as though she has an acute fractured hip.

They need to do surgery, however, her blood sugar was too high (she is a diabetic) and they need control that first before they can operate. She turned 83 in July.


So, if you could please send her Healing Light and Vibrations I know she'll appreciate it.

10. UPDATE: First off.......I want to Thank EVERYONE for your help

She finally went in to surgery around 6:00 PM yesterday. They had to put a metal plate and ball to hold everything back together and she will be living with this new addition for the rest of her life. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing, but it is what it is and she'll have to adjust to it. She will be in the hospital for a few more days, and then get released to a rehabilitation center for physical therapy.

I hope that she can make the adjustments she needs to still be able to walk. She has been having trouble with her knees for quite a while and been using a walker.
