Feel the burn!
Edited on Sun Mar-27-11 09:07 AM by Zephie
My hound has developed a taste for hot and spicy things. He grimaces and winces the whole way through, but keeps coming back for more, going so far as to even take peppers out of my bucket garden to satisfy his need for heat! He's even figured out which ones are ripe and which ones aren't. It's adorable to watch him eat peppers. He grabbed one on the way in from his walk this morning and after a quick game of fetch with it, settled down on the couch for a spicy snack!

1. That's really strange.
And what about the, um, gassy after-effects?

2. He's actually not that gassy
Luckily for me! He does get gas occasionally though. Once I walked out of my bedroom and and I thought he had pooped in the hall. It turns out he had just passed gas right before I came out. It's really just enclosed spaces that I notice it.

4. He's got that wonderful "ooo MINE" LOOK
He has that precious glaze of happiness that comes with a treat well-snitched.

When my pup would try to chew her harness when I was teaching her to walk on a leash, I put Tabasco sauce all over it to the point that it stunk up puppy class. She wasn't so enamored of the heat as your dog, LOL.

5. *LOL* I thought it was just MY crazy dogs who stole peppers from the garden
I'm having to put up a fence around my garden area this year (no small task - it's 55'x70'-ish). Forget the squirrels: it's my beloved princesses who swipe peppers and beans.

Oh yeah, btw, the weimaraner mix can blister the paint off the walls with her, uh, explosions.
