I am glad to see the pets group and look forward to reading the posts here.
I thought I would share a little funny story about one of my two mischievous kitties.
Last night as I was out in the garage waiting for the dryer to stop so I could pull out the blanket of Lady Isabella Boogybeans (Izzy) so it would be warm for her and her sister (Jazzy) as we could nestle down to bed with our nighttime ritual.

Apparently, I was taking more time behind the door than she had patience for so she jumped up on the table which happens to be at doorknob height and locked the deadbolt.

There I was locked out of my house with no key and my husband fast asleep as he is an early riser. I spent forty-five minutes trying to coax Izzy to "open the door for mommy" as I was wearing just a t-shirt and underwear and boy, was it COLD out in that garage.

Finally, after exhausting every type of tool possible to "shimmy the lock" and with constant meowing reminding me that her blanket still wasn't delivered as promised. I had to go in the backyard and knock on the window to get my husband up to explain why I was locked out in the first place.

He grumbled to the back door and then proceeded to tell me that the "Izzy couldn't lock the door". I was cold and fuming at this point and wouldn't you know it she was laying under the covers with her "daddy" to prove to me that since I couldn't deliver she sought warmth elsewhere. I'm not mad as I love my babies more than life but my husband is beginning to think I am a bit bonkers.

that your kitty locked the door or that you tried to talk her into unlocking it! :D

2. LOL, thanks for the visual, that's funny

kind of reminds me of the USAToday commercial where the guys' hotel room door closes and he's toodling down the hall with the paper wrapped in strategic places.

Glad you were "allowed" back in the house by those who matter (the cats, oh and the sleepy hubby).

the garage, if the cat didn't do it, who did??
