My Cat and the Neighbor's Bulldog
Cast of characters:

Karen: neighbor
Morsel: Karen's two-year old bulldog
Greenlee: My two-year old cat
Moi

Karen and I were standing outside our house talking. Morsel was with Karen. He is such a big, narcissistic baby and we all know it back here in the 'hood but we love him anyway. Along comes Greenlee.

My Greenlee is fearless and when she saw Morsel, she got the arched back and the big tail but she would not back off. She would not run (my other cat, Bitsey, runs like crazy when she sees Morsel). Greenlee stood her ground and Morsel charged at her but she still would not step back.

When Morsel charged at her, Karen admonished him to come back because she didn't want Greenlee scratching his face.

Now here's the funny part. Morsel lay down on the ground with his bulldog face flat on the pavement. And he started crying! LOL!!! He was whimpering and sobbing his little heart out! He even put his
paws over his eyes! It was like he was wiping away tears.

Man, I laughed so hard. One of the funniest things I've ever seen an animal do.

1. A whimpering bulldog... How sad. Was he crying because your neighbor
would not let him charge after Greenlee?
My friend had a German Shepherd who would do that when he was told not to chase after a cat. He would obey, and sit still, but he would shake...he wanted so badly to chase the cat.

2. yeah, I think so
I'm still laughing as I think of it. He wanted to chase her so badly.

Often I will look out the window and he's chasing after Bitsey, who gives him a run for the money because she is so fast. Let's face it, bulldogs are not exactly the picture of grace when they run, but cats are.
