Came home to a split screen with double icons. Is this a computer problem

or a monitor problem? Is there anything I can do to solve this problem. Obviously I am on another computer.

1. Try different monitor

it it's still there it's not the monitor. Most likely the video card if problem stays

2. Well, it seems to have fixed itself (how often does that happen?) but I

believe that is was the monitor and may happen again. I do not know what a video card is. Would you please explain? Also super thanks for your help.
