I have a battery question

I just bought a notebook and I like the portability but i don't really need it for a couple of months. I just want it to run on AC for a while. The book says not to overcharge the battery so I was wondering if I should just take it out for the time being.

I am running on the batrery now just to drain it, as was spelled out in the book. But then, what should I do? Recharge and leave it in? Recharge and remove? Just use the battery all the time? (which I really am jazzed about right this moment because I am running this computer without it being plugged in) :woohoo:

1. You should have instructions in agonizing detail on that.

How to manage the battery, I mean. However, I used to run all the time with the battery out, just on wall power. If you can do that, there is no reason not to. You might want to put the battery in once a month to charge it up or something. But best of all is to RTFM.

3. Charge battery fully before removing it.

Most batteries don't do well if they are stored uncharged.
