1. Have you tried installing the most recent version of Flash?
When I upgraded to 3.6.4, the recommendation was made by the installer software to update the Flash player. I did so and haven't had any issues.

You can find it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

2. Installing a previous version of Firefox
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing%20a%20previous%20version%20of%20Firefox

Do you have the latest version of Flash installed? V10.1.53.64 is the latest. You can verify installed version of Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I updated to FF 3.6.4 and have had no problems.

5. Scroll down about halfway down the page (screenshot)
Click the link in step 1 "Go to the Mozilla FTP server": ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/

Follow the rest of the instructions.

7. UR Welcome, one caveat however...

To be clear, this is not my recommendation as you will be vulnerable to multiple security issues fixed in v3.6.4 that will only multiply as you miss future Firefox updates. I did a little poking around and found a couple of temporary fixes for the plugin-container.exe problem:

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/The+Adobe+Flash+plugin+has+crashed

Firefox 3.6.4 isolates plugin processes including Adobe Flash. This prevents crashes and hangs in Flash from taking down the main Firefox process. By default, if Flash is not responsive for 10 seconds, Firefox will terminate it and display The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed. However, some Flash-based games such as FarmVille and Mafia Wars can take more time to load, unnecessarily triggering this hang protection.

Update Flash

Newer versions of Flash may be better optimized and perform better. Use the Mozilla Plugin Check to make sure you're using the latest version of the Flash Plugin: https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

Increase the plugin timeout

You can increase the plugin timeout to help avoid this. However, if you do so, it will take longer for Firefox to detect if the Flash process does hang or crash.

1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press EnterReturn.
* The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.

2. The about:config page should appear. In the Filter box, type dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs

3. Double click the setting and increase to a higher number such as 30 to have Firefox wait longer before shutting down Flash.
----------------------------------

Also, you can turn off plugin-container.exe: (in FF v3.6.4)

1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press EnterReturn.
* The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.

2. The about:config page should appear. In the Filter box, type dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll

3. Double click the setting to change it to false. Flash will run in the program proper.
