Can Someone Help?
i can't get to my email or stream radio.
i can sign into the email but it never loads to let me see the email. the radio stations just keep loading.
i ran the norton 360--no virsus--but under a "hardware profile" it is telling me my ram is low
what can i do? (i'm assuming that is the problem)
how does one get more ram?
thanks

1. First thing to do
is look in your system tray (the right hand area of task bar, near clock) and work out how many icons you can get rid of by turning off all the stuff chewing up your ram by running continously in the background.

Norton's is probably the worst offender.

3. Anything is better than Norton ...
Edited on Thu Apr-29-10 04:47 AM by RoyGBiv
Avast is what I generally recommend: http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

There's also AVG: http://free.avg.com/gb-en/download

And some recommend Microsoft Security Essentials: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Any of these would be leagues better than Norton.

Before using any of them, make sure you remove Norton from your system entirely. http://www.pchell.com/virus/uninstallnorton.shtml

OnEdit: Yes, all of those are free versions.

4. I agree with Roy
Anything is better than Norton.

Revo-uninstaller does a good job of getting rid of Norton and a lot of other things too.

6. + infinity
Avast or AVG FTW!

Norton is just terrible these days and unfortunately it seems to be pre-installed on the majority of Windows boxes.

5. What Roy said.
I use Avast! 5 Free and give it a thumbs up. Only 1 or 2 minor glitches with my OA firewall, also FREE. I've not EVER paid for any AV protection, though I do contribute a few bucks to the "kitty" whenever I can.

7. I sometimes
have a problem getting into my email. All I do is run Crap cleaner and it comes back.
