Are there any Adobe CS4 users here? If so, can you recommend a good book?

Are there any Adobe CS4 users here? If so, can you recommend a good book?
I am trying to teach myself CS4 using online tutorials and help forums but it is VERY slow going. I think it might be faster if I could go to the library and get a good basic reference for the main products.

I'm not using Dreamweaver much at the moment but I really need to get a jumpstart with InDesign and Illustrator. I have some Photoshop experience so that's not quite as bad.

Anyone know of a good basic reference for CS4 that I might be likely to find at the library?

beseechingly,
Bright

1. have you tried www.lynda.com - you can try it for as little as $25/month
they have some links in each application that are free - just go to her site and check it out
She used to write books, no more.

There are a number of authors who do her tutorials - if you find one you like, you could research if they have a book out and published

3. lynda.com has been very helpful, but I need a reference...
...something I can use on the fly while I am working to (for example) remind me what the hell a "path" is and why it keeps surprising me when I'm trying to alter a shape.

That kind of thing.

wearily,
Bright

2. I'm using CS4. I have found lynda.com to be a wonderful resource for learning
I have also found "The Missing Manual" series of books to be very useful as a reference. HTH
