Hi, kind strangers.....
What would be a good move at this point:
1. On IE when I try to access a video... either on DU or Youtube I get this message:
>>>Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. >>>>
Apparently the security settings on IE do not allow Adobe Downloads. Can I change the settings? How? If I do will I be inundated with pop-ups and other garbage? ( I *have* to use IE for DU as DU's cookies make Mozilla sick... or the other way around, I forget which. Something about "cookies."
2. I can switch over to Mozilla to see videos but they will not run steadily. In other words they take a million years to fully download ( even short 2 minute clips).
I just updated Mozilla to 3.0 but it make no difference in the video problem. ( I had this issue in the past, and , If I remember correctly, updating Mozilla solved the video problem... although I still couldn't sign into DU, which was OK cause I could sign into DU on IE.)
Right now I'd just like to use the Political Video forum on DU. Is that so wrrrrooooonnnnnggggg??!!
Many thanks for *any* help.
