Well, since it's about that time again (Nov. 22)
Did Oswald shoot Pres. Kennedy? Was Oswald a patsy? Did Jack Ruby kill Oswald on orders from the mob? Did the US Government cover up and distort some of the facts of the case? Was there a shot from the grassy knoll? Did the CIA and the Pentagon want Kennedy gone for "national security" reasons? Did the limo slow down through the "kill zone"?

1. I can't remember where I read this but Jack Ruby was reputed to
have said in response to the question about a conspiracy, "Its crazy but it'll all come out someday."

2. Oswald was a patsy.
I'm not saying he wasn't involved because I think he was. Nobody defects to the Soviet Union, gets honored by being allowed to rent a fairly nice appartment, marries the daughter of a part official, decides he wants to go back to the U.S., and gets to bring his Russian wife and child with him. It just doesn't happen. Clearly, we were sold a bill of goods by the Warren Commission. I don't think we'll ever know the whole story.

3. good points!
The main thing I have is the rifle. It was a cheap Italian made rifle with supposedly crappy action. The amount of time to get off 3 shots would have been a lot longer than was actually attributed to Oswald.

5. Yes,
and don't forget his stint in training with the Marines. He was in Japan, wasn't he, trained in coding/language? From what I know about the Marines, they don't put just anyone in special training courses like that. I think Oswald was smart, but not that smart. I think that whatever agency he was working for realized that, and realized that they had a loose cannon on their hands, a nut, an expendible operative. Well, Oswald was smart enough to figure out at the end that he was a patsy. I wonder when he knew, after realizing that his shot(s) didn't do in JFK, or when he was hiding out at the theater, with an APB already out on his description.

4. I was only 8 when JFK was shot
and I always knew the Warren Commission was a load of crap!! I remember updates of 10 and 25 years after when they did a body count of eyewitnesses who had died suspiciously, etc.
I have met folks online who have made some good cases about who and why. No way Oswald did it.

6. Not only did the Limo slow down,
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 11:24 PM by Baja Margie
but it was wide open, and wasn't there testimony somewhere that the number of secret service men protecting JFK had either been reduced or something? Gosh it's been awhile since I've read about this & talked about it.

8. Ive been researching this since I was a KID!
And after all Ive read and all Ive seen, I have to come to the conclusion that Oswald was NOT an innocent bystander, but was somehow involved with the "plotters" but did NOT shoot JFK.

He has a curious history, with the Russian language, being stationed at Atsugi AF Base, a top secret base, then defecting to the USSR and welcomed back to the US with no debriefing and given money to restart his life. Numerous "Oswald" sightings all over the place, even WC exhbitis showing someone they identify as Oswald at the Cuban Emabssy, wherein my cat looks more like Oswald.

Ive been to Dealey Plaza and I believe there was definitely a shot from the Grassy Knoll, a shooter possibly dressed as a Dallas police officer. And while Im here, I dont think Tippit was the innocent cop history portrays him as.

It is strictly against Secret Service policy and rules for the Presdiential limo to make 'hairpins' turns and slow down to anything below 15 MPH, but there it was. And the brakes are repeatedly applied in the 'kill zone'. And why was the parade route changed from going straight down Main St to making that crazy turn from Houston to Elm?

SO many questions.

I dont think the movie 'JFK' is as far fetched as the media wants everyone to believe.

IMHO.
