I just scored the new "Gourmet" cookbook edited bt Ruth Reichel and it is
awesome! Over 60 years in the making and over 1000 recipes. I just love Ruth Reichel. I've read both her books and they are great too. She's an old school liberal, University of Mich. from the 60's.
Her 2 books are: Tender at the Bone and Comfort Me with Apples
memoirs of her life and food experiences. very real and visceral
I found the title daunting (I am no gourmet, just a decent cook) and gave it a pass. If you so recommend, I may go back and get it. Let us know how you like the book.
