Measurement question
Hello everyone.

Tonight I hope to make Broccoli Cheddar Soup - the recipe calls for a 20oz package of frozen broccoli, but they don't come in 20oz sizes. The come in 14 or 32. So, since it's frozen, how do I measure? Eyeball it? I don't have a scale - should I get one? I know this isn't going to be the last thing I'll need to measure frozen.

How do you all suggest I do this? Thanks!

1. I'd just eyeball it.
Get the 32 oz. pkg and use approx. 2/3 of it.

2. Eyeballing it would work.
OTOH, I have a scale and it comes in really, really handy. Especially if I'm multiplying a recipe by one and a half. But, math gives me cramps. I also use it for baking since baking is much more precise.

3. Depends on how much you love broccoli
The 14 oz. package should probably do it. Around here, it does come in 20 oz. packages in odd brands, so searching other markets might turn it up.

If you really, really love broccoli, get that 32 oz. package, just make sure you thaw and drain the broccoli thoroughly before you throw it into the soup.
