Mr. K said it was the 'best midnight snack EVAH!'

and easy peasey too!

I wanted to put the new cookware through some hoops and decided to (finally) try that recipe and it was awesome!

In case you are wondering what I'm talking about here's the link

1. I went to Costco and spent like a drunken sailor
Their dried pears are heavenly. Dried mango will be later, in small amounts because I'm allergic...

3. No, I'm munching them out of hand right now.
One thing I checked about moving down to Merida is that they have a Costco.

11. That's a bit more Paradise than I'm prepared to pay for
I'll more likely be living in downtown Merida since blindness is likely in my future and the last thing I need is being dependent on a hired driver to get me into town to meet basic needs.

Real estate is still dirt cheap, though, and they do have a Costco.

My only complaint will be the climate, which is Houston, only hotter.

I look forward to color, joy, street life, street food, street music, hope, and everything else I've been missing in my own country for far too long. Oh, that and national health insurance.

6. You're having fun with the new set!
I'm glad it turned out great. It's fun to flip the pan over and see how pretty it is on the top.

7. the new set is great
and so far that stainless is easier to clean than my teflon for heaven's sake

it was interesting the instructions said to let the food lose some of the chill before putting it in a hot pan

so far so good, and the handles DO stay cool for the most part

i'm pretty pleased and thanks again for the recipe, it looked funny but it tasted wonderful!

10. I did the mixing in my stand mixer
eggs and sugar ect in the little bowl and the flour in the big one

it was easy and that way I got the eggs/sugar blend fairly stiff without wearing out my arms.

it's well worth a try!
