I am presently using Boot Camp to give me the option of booting into Windows XP. I am considering switching to Fusion to allow dual boot/switch on the fly.
How resource hungry is Fusion? Will it significantly slow down my Mac? Would adding RAM make up for any loss in performance?
I am running a MacBook with OS X 10.6.1 with a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB RAM and a 250 GB hard drive.
We had the memory upgraded to 4Gig when we bought it. Fusion runs well. I recommend either Fusion or Parallels. I have Fusion on my laptop and Parallels on my MacPro. I need to run AutoCAD. It runs faster on my MacPro under Parallels than it does on my fastest PC ...... and it never crashes.
I think it will run okay with your 2Gig of memory, but memory upgrades are never a waste of money.
