iTrip making iPod randomly pause?

My sister-in-law just got an iTrip, and she says that it's making her iPod pause for no discernable reason. An FM transmitter my wife used to use (not the iTrip) kept doing the same thing when we were listening to audio books on her 4th gen iPod.

1. i'm not sure, i have a griffin itrip for my mini and i HATE it.

i think it's a piece of crap. I'd like to go the hardwire route for my car stereo.

and I use my Griffin iTrip every week. strange.

3. if she has it in "shuffle mode" then it is playing the info the iTrip uses

The ipod is playing back the iTrip's "station info" -- which of course have no audio, so it seems like "pauses"/
