Hey I just got a Mac Mini, Have Some Questions
I am looking for an HTML editor sort of like Dreamweaver or nicer, want to know how to get that damn dialog box that keeps asking me every 15minutes if I want to stay connected to the internet, I want to learn applescript and can't find any tutorials, I just bought a 200gb Maxtor SATA HD off a friend and want to know if it will work if I get a USB drive kit for it.

Anything else any experienced mac users would like to add to this it would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, this mac mini is HAWTTTT. I love it, best computer and easiest to do stuff with that I have ever been on. Took me 10 minutes to figure out what took and is still taking me over 8 years give or take to do on windows. Don't think I will ever go back if I don't have to.

1. Here are links to some OSX HTML editors

They look like Dreamweaver and work fairly well.

I recently increased my G3's RAM and hard drive, and added a Super drive, G4 processor and OSX (a comparably equipped Mini would have cost $100 more). It feels so cool to be able to visit an Apple online or retail store and know I can now buy practically anything in it. Doesn't it feel like you've been reborn? Anyway, welcome to the Mac side--you're going to love it here!

:hi:

2. Thank you!
I have one more question. I have a 200gb maxtor SATA drive laying around, I need to get an adapter cable for a drive kit I want. If the kit is USB, it will work with the mac won't it?

3. I think you need a special SATA kit
There are starting to be more dealers now for SATA accessories:

Regular USB would not be very fast and would negate the benefits of SATA. USB 2 or Firewire would be better.

4. Thanks again for the input
I have seen special conversion cables I can get at a store but I really don't want to do that. I think that 200gb HD would be a nice addition for my mac mini :D! Now if I could just get a hold of some more ram......

5. That damn dialog box. Fix
Go to System preferences, then to Network.

At Show select internal modem (if you are on dial up.)
click PPP. Now click PPP Options.

Under session options you will see a check box that says "Prompt every -- minutes to maintain connection." Un-check it or change the value in the box.

Below it is "Disconnect if idle for -- minutes. " Do what you wish with it.

I am an NVU fan. Give it a try.
