Looking for instances where there was RW outrage that charges were dropped against
a Dem/Lib or someone associated with a Dem/Lib, and the RWers screamed that the person was "obviously guilty" (according to them) ...

6. well, either you misunderstand impeachment or I do (which is entirely possible)
in my understanding, impeachment itself is the act of bringing up charges, so therefore the charges are always there, they are not dismissed. The resolution of the impeachment is the removal or nonremoval from office only, not whether the subject is guilty or still being charged. Once removed from office, they can still be charged, or not.

at least, that is my understanding.

7. No, you are correct in the definition ....
but because he wasn't found guilty after that, one can argue the charges were dropped. I admit I'm splitting hairs, but to me if you're not found guilty of something, then charges are dropped.

9. Not quite.

The dropping of the charges needs to happen before the jury renders its verdict. In Pres. Clinton's case, the charges were filed by the House, the trial was heard, and the jury (Senate) came back with a verdict of "not guilty". The charges were never dropped; they were pressed to their fullest.

4. I'd love for examples of when a Dem had the charges dropped for some alleged "offense"
and the Repukes and Faux screaming about it ...

because Miss Runner Up is saying that "charges dropped" means that she didn't commit any ethics violation ... but when it was a Dem, they'd scream that he got away with murder or that he/she paid off the judges ...
