2. APIC’s mission

"APIC’s mission is to improve health and patient safety by reducing risks of infection and other adverse outcomes"

Gee, why on earth would they require their employees to get the flu shot? :eyes:

medically contraindicated'.

While I am in general not in favour of flu vaccine mandates, I have no problem with them for healthcare workers, as they are often in regular contact with very medically vulnerable people who should not be exposed to the flu.

As a young child in 1968, I got the flu from a doctor when I was already in hospital with something else! Obviously I recovered, but it's not really something I'd recommend for already-sick people.

4. Oh there you go posting details.
That's no fun. Much more entertaining to go for the sensational headline: GET JABBED OR GET FIRED!

5. No way
can an employer force a worker to get an immunization. There are too many ways to get around it. And are employers willing to take a chance the immunization will cause a health problem in the worker? Would make for a nice law suit.

9. Unlike the proposal in your other post, I see no problem with this one.
Employers set conditions on employment all the time -- so long as the condition is related to the goals of employment, there's no problem at all with it.
