http://election2008.advocate.com/proposition_8/index.htmlSeeing all those pictures made me a little teary-eyed, honestly. Sure, it's definitely depressing that we still have to fight for our basic rights. But seeing all these photos was really encouraging. All these people, from different parts of the world, from different backgrounds and experiences, heck - even a lot of straight people - coming together to fight.
I went to the rally in Toronto on Saturday. There were about 100 people there. Which may not seem like a lot - but the weather was absolutely terrible. Cold, rainy, windy, and just gross. But the crowd was energetic and enthusiastic - and this is in Canada!
All of us are making history. Right now. And we're going to get this proposition overturned. And if I ever have grandchildren, I know I'll tell them about this when I'm older - about how a group of people all around the world banded together for stop injustice and fight for our rights.
