No arrests yet in Palm Springs City Hall shooting
As the victim remains hospitalized, Palm Springs Police have not made any arrests in connection with Saturday night's shooting of a man who was waiting outside Palm Springs City Hall for a regularly scheduled support group meeting.
The unidentified victim was outside city hall with a group of others waiting at 8 p.m. Saturday for the start of a weekly gay Alcoholics Anonymous meeting held in the City Council chambers when several shots sounded, witnesses told The Desert Sun at the scene.
The shooting victim, who remains unidentified by police, was struck by at least one round under the left arm and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he underwent surgery Saturday night as detectives investigated the scene.
Witnesses told The Desert Sun that it sounded as though the shots came from Tahquitz Canyon Way.
